A Box for Milk for the Cat

The box for Milk for the Cat follows the simple, hairy look of the book. The material is a Khadi card of similar weight to the binding but slightly darker.
The box is made out of one piece of card, folded over to make seams that are sewn all-along with linen thread. The deckle edge is left proud.
The flap is held in place with a thread made by the same people who made the paper, dyed in the same green as the end paper. The thread is anchored on a couple of mother-of-pearl buttons from my wife's work box (with her knowledge and co-operation, I hasten to say).
